Gift of the Messiah Bible Reading Plan

This month, we are diving into scripture to learn about the gift of the Messiah.

From the long-awaited prophecies to the humble birth of Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice, the story of the Messiah is one of God’s incredible love and redemption for humanity.

As we reflect on the life and purpose of Jesus, we’ll be reminded of the hope, peace, and joy that comes through Him.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,   and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,  Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 NIV)

A Prayer for the Month:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the precious gift of Your Son, Jesus, our Messiah. We are grateful for His life, death, and resurrection, which grant us forgiveness and eternal life. Help us to grasp the magnitude of this gift, transform our lives in Your love, and share the hope of Your salvation with others. Strengthen us to embody Jesus’ love and peace, reflecting Your grace in all we do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Greatest Gift Ever Given

The holiday season often brings to mind gifts — beautifully wrapped boxes under the tree, thoughtful surprises from loved ones, and the joy of giving and receiving.

But no gift we give or receive can compare to the gift God gave us over 2,000 years ago. The arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, wasn’t just a gift; it was the gift. The greatest one ever given.

Imagine this: God saw the brokenness, sin, and struggle in the world — things that separated us from Him.

And rather than leaving us to deal with it on our own, He sent His Son, Jesus, to be born into our world, to walk alongside us, to know our pains and joys, and ultimately, to give His life so that we could be reunited with Him.

That’s the ultimate act of love.

In John 3:16, we’re reminded, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

This verse captures it all. God’s love wasn’t just words or distant feelings; it was active, intentional, and sacrificial.

He gave us Jesus so that we could experience true peace, hope, and joy — things we often search for in so many places but can only truly find in Him.

So, as we celebrate this season, let’s pause and remember the gift of Jesus. His birth, life, and sacrifice were given to us freely, out of pure love.

No wrapping paper or ribbon needed! It’s a gift that transforms our lives from the inside out. It’s the reminder that we are deeply loved and never alone.
