This month we are diving into scripture to learn about God-sized goals and planning.
If you’ve ever felt like your dreams were too big, too risky, or too far out of reach, you’re not alone.
But here’s the good news — God doesn’t call us to small, safe goals.
He calls us to step out in faith, trust His process, and pursue goals that require His strength, not just our own.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3
A Prayer for the Month:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God who calls me to God-sized goals that go beyond what I can do on my own. I surrender my plans to You and ask for Your wisdom, clarity, and strength. Help me to pursue goals that bring You glory, not just personal success. When doubt or fear creeps in, remind me that You are with me, and nothing is impossible with You. I trust Your timing, Your process, and Your purpose for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Planning For God-Sized Goals!
God-sized goals and planning require faith, courage, and total dependence on God’s guidance.
Unlike ordinary goals that we can achieve through our own strength, God-sized goals push us beyond our comfort zone and into a place where only God’s power can make them possible.
These goals are not rooted in personal ambition but in alignment with God’s will for our lives.
Planning for God-sized goals requires surrendering our timeline, trusting His process, and being faithful with every small step He reveals.
When we seek God first in our goals, we invite Him to establish our plans and open the door for Him to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).
The beauty of pursuing God-sized goals is that they grow our faith while also blessing others.
These goals aren’t just about reaching milestones; they are about transformation — both in us and through us.
When our goals are aligned with His will, we know that we are working toward something far greater than personal success.
Each challenge becomes an opportunity for growth, and every victory is a reflection of God’s faithfulness.
By relying on Him, we experience His presence in ways we wouldn’t if we stayed in our comfort zone.
So, as you set your goals, seek God’s guidance, and be willing to surrender your desires for His purpose.
Make them big enough to require God’s help and trust that He will equip you to complete the good work He has called you to do.
Reflection Questions:
- Are the goals I’m currently pursuing aligned with God’s will, or are they based on my personal desires?
- Have I fully surrendered my goals to God, or am I still trying to control the outcome and timing?
- Am I stepping out of my comfort zone to pursue God-sized goals, or am I only chasing what feels safe and achievable?
- How have I seen God’s faithfulness in past goals that required me to trust Him completely?
- What fears or doubts are preventing me from pursuing the God-sized goal that’s on my heart right now, and how can I surrender those to God?
