Hey friends! Today, we’re diving into a beautiful story from the New Testament about a woman named Tabitha, also known as Dorcas, and how her life and miraculous resurrection impacted her community.

Tabitha is always helping the poor, making clothes for widows, and serving her community in any way she can. Her kindness and generosity have made a significant impact on everyone around her.

Sadly, Tabitha becomes ill and dies. Her death is a huge loss to the community.

They wash her body and place it in an upstairs room. The believers in Joppa, hearing that Peter is in the nearby town of Lydda, send two men to him, urging him to come at once.

Peter gets up and goes with them. When he arrives, he is taken upstairs to the room where Tabitha’s body is laid out.

The room is filled with widows who are weeping and showing Peter the clothes and robes that Tabitha had made while she was alive. It’s clear that she was deeply loved and that her life had touched many.

Peter sends everyone out of the room, kneels down, and prays. Then, turning toward the dead woman, he says, “Tabitha, get up.

Miraculously, she opens her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sits up. Peter takes her by the hand and helps her to her feet. He then calls the believers and the widows and presents her to them alive.
