This month we are diving into scripture to learn about waiting on God.
Waiting is one of the hardest things we face in life, especially when it feels like nothing is happening.
But throughout the Bible, we see that waiting is not wasted time — it’s a season of preparation, trust, and transformation.
God often uses our waiting to strengthen our faith, develop our patience, and draw us closer to Him.
No matter what you’re waiting for, remember this — God is never late, and His promises never fail.
Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14
A Prayer for the Month:
Heavenly Father, I come to You with a heart that longs to trust Your perfect timing. Waiting is hard, and sometimes I feel restless, but I know You are never late — always right on time. Help me surrender my timeline to You and trust that You are working behind the scenes for my good. Strengthen my patience and increase my faith, especially when I can’t see the whole picture. While I wait, fill me with peace, teach me to be still, and remind me that delays are not denials. Thank You for being faithful even when I feel uncertain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Waiting on God’s Timing
Waiting on God’s timing can be one of the most challenging aspects of faith, but it’s also one of the most rewarding.
It requires patience, trust, and a willingness to surrender control.
While it may feel like nothing is happening, God is always working behind the scenes — preparing us, protecting us, and growing our faith.
His timing is never late and never early; it’s always right on time. Trusting His timing means believing that His plans are better than ours and that every delay has a divine purpose.
Even when we don’t understand it, we can have peace knowing that God’s perfect timing will always lead to something far greater than we could have imagined.
During seasons of waiting, it’s easy to grow weary and question if God has forgotten us.
But the truth is, God’s silence is not His absence. Sometimes, He uses waiting to build our patience, strengthen our character, and increase our trust in Him.
Just like a seed planted in the ground takes time to grow before it becomes a flourishing tree, our waiting seasons are growing seasons.
We may not see the full picture now, but God sees it all. Our role is to remain faithful, stay rooted in His Word, and continue to trust that His timing is perfect.
When the wait is over, we’ll be able to look back and see how every delay was part of God’s greater plan for our lives.
