Have you heard of the Spiral Bible?

Getting into God’s Word daily is an important part of growing stronger in your faith as a Christian.

But the word of God is meant to be engaging and involve a deeper interaction than simply just reading. It is supposed to be active – not passive.

Taking notes and journaling in your Bible an help you gain a deeper understanding of the text and applying it to your life.

What is the Spiral Bible

Unlike traditional Bibles that come in a bound soft cover or hardcover format, the Spiral Bible is (like the name implies) bound with a very large spiral.

This enables the pages to lay flat, making it perfect for journaling and writing notes in the margins.

It is often called the “Word of God for notetakers” because of it’s easy-to-read layout and design.

It is the perfect Bible for a more in-depth study experience.

Spiral Bible Features

The Spiral Bible is unlike other journaling Bibles. It was literally designed to provide a comfortable reading experience along with generous space note-taking and other creatvie journaling activities.

  • lays completely flay
  • 8.5 x 11 inch pages
  • double-wide margins
  • different cover options
  • durable white notebook paper

It is available in 3 different Bible translations:

  • King James Version (KJV)
  • American Standard Version (ASV)
  • World English Bible (WEB)

Unlike a regular Bible in which all the books are in a single bound book, the Spiral Bible comes in mulitple versions.

Since the pages are much larger, putting the entire text of the Bible into one bound book would make it super thick and heavy.

Breaking them down into individual volumes makes it much easier for you.

Old Testament

The Old Testament is available as a spiral-bound Bible set of 4 volumes.

  • Volume 1: The Books of the Law: Genesis – Deuteronomy
  • Volume 2: The Books of History: Joshua – Esther
  • Volume 3: The Books of Poetry: Job – Song of Solomon
  • Volume 4: The Prophets: Isaiah – Malachi

COST: Each individual volume is $36.99 (except for Poetry which is $27.99), or you can buy the entire OT Bundle for $99 (save $40).

New Testament

New Testament comes in 2 options. You can get the entire New Testament in a single spiral notebook.

You can also get one with just the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

COST: The Gospels is $36.99. The Entire NT is $45.99

There is also a One Year Bible Reading plan at the front of the notebook so you can set scripture reading goals and mark them off as you achieve them each week.

Spiral Bible for Kids

Want to get your kids interested in Bible study?

Spiral Bible even offers a version for kids! They have 2 different versions to choose from:

The Book of Genesis and the Book of Exodus.

The kids version is written in Bible in Basic English (BBE) and  has large fonts so kids can easily read it. It also has fun drawings to bring the passages to life for them.

COST: $19.99

My Personal Review of the Spiral Bible

I purchased a King James Version of the New Testament Spiral Bible. This is my honest review:

Overall, I give this Bible a big thumbs up, 5 stars, 10 out of 10!

This spiral bound Bible notebook is the best journaling Bible I’ve ever used!

It enables you to journal through the entire Bible while providing plenty of space for Bible notes and artwork.

What I Love

Normally, a review would mention my favorite thing about the product but I just can’t pick one thing!

But if I had to choose one, it would be the unique spiral binding which offers a flatlay design.

With most Bibles, you loose a lot of writing space because the page curves into the binding area. This can cause your writing to look messy and just not be able to write adequate notes that are legible.

With the Spiral Bible, it literally lays completely flat. This enables you to write legibly and comforably on the entire page.

This Bible has ample space in the margins for in-depth note-taking. Most journaling Bibles have a much smaller note space making it difficult to write everything I want to write.

Not with this one! It offers plenty of space to write Bible study notes or doodle Bible art.

I love that the pages are of durable white paper and not the typical thin and delicate pages that most Bible have.

I’m always afraid I’m going to rip the pages when I turn them! These are quite durable and will stand up to wear and tear of using a journaling Bible.

I love that it includes a reading plan for each Spiral Bible so you can study through it with focus and intention and track your progress.

What I Don’t Like

Honestly, there isn’t anything I necessarily don’t like. This Bible is awesome.

I do, however, wish it were available in more modern translations such as NIV or ESV, as these are the ones I typically use for my study time.

But, as a business owner myself, I do understand the expense and hassle of seeking copyright permission for these versions.

Again, this is more of a preference and not a dislike. I got mine in KJV and absolutely love it.

My overall assessment is that this spiral Bible notebook is a must-have for anyone who loves writing notes and doodling artwork in their Bible!

If you are in the market for a new Bible, the Spiral Bible is sure to please!
